Why don't you set your rescue to acro so it recovers inverted OR upright. You keep speaking that rescue always has to go upright and that isn't true. You can program it to rescue inverted as well - whichever way the heli is closer to is the way rescue will punch out.

If you fly 3d you want acro rescue not upright.

Thanks. I am aware of that. I find the normal rescue to be an excellent feature and only the crash prompted me to think if anything could be done to improve the already great Spirit even further. Maybe I was trying too hard to put accross my idea about the possibility of a brief negative punch out to be implemented in normal rescue mode before the heli flips to upright position and continues to ascend. I thought that it would be a great feature. It would have saved my heli ;) Whether it is possible or not is another question. Thanks to all who contributed, my heli will be back in the air soon...

Hi Marian, I think you didn't get the answer you expected because you asked for acro mode the first time. Acro mode rescues inverted if heli is inverted at time of rescue. What you are asking is to have a mix of acro and normal. For example, the first second is done inverted if necessary (acro mode) and then flips (normal mode). This can be tested using 2 banks, one in acro the other in normal. Then program your transmitter to switch from one bank to the other after 1 second. Does this makes sens?

Pleased to report back that I have managed to program my Tx to set the sequence of Acro and Normal rescue. It works exactly as expected and I am happy with that. If the rescue is activated in inverted position, heli shoots up first inverted for about half a second (I can change the time easily if I want to) and than in flips to upright position and the rate of climb slows from intial 80% to 60% of pitch which is almost hover.

And if the Rescue is activated in upright position, heli shoots up first with 80%pitch for half a second and than it transits to slow ascend at near hovering rate of 60% pitch. I can change any of these parameters easily to fine tune if I want to. Thanks to all who contributed and who inspired me to try this and eventually accomplish the rescue working the way I always wanted.

Thanks for your feedback Marian. The pitch change to stop the ascension is a great idea. Many people complain about that because they are afraid of going too high.

Tomas, would it be possible to have this option in a future release. Something like acro to hover mode : acro during n millisecond then switch to normal with different pitch ? This would save one bank and be availlable with low end transmitters !

Hi Marian, can I ask how you have done this as it sounds just what I'm looking for.

Regards Alan
