What are we looking for when using the BEC Tester ?
How does a failure of the test show ?
I'm seeing the test complete with no Brown-out or strange behaviour of the unit . Is that all we are looking for or does the Software tell us if the BEC has failed the test or inefficient power has been provided during the process ?

I would also like info on this too. I am running a liFe pack for my servos/reciever while flying i get voltage drops to around 5.9v from 6.4v but while doing the bec test it drops to 5.1v. Would you say that is ok?

important is that BEC tester will pass the test. It is utility for checking supply voltage stability. In case of any issue, you will notice it directly on the helicopter/unit.
In case that it will not pass the test (unit was resetted or you can see low voltage event in the log) then you know, that your BEC is very bad and should be replaced or at least you can add capacitor.

5V may be still enough, but speed will be reduced.

The movement of all servos stops a few seconds before the bar showing the progress reaches the end. The Spirit unit does not re-initilize during the test and it is completed without any other interruption. Is it normal or should the servos keep moving right to the very end of the test?

No, it is not correct. What servos are you using?

I'm seeing exactly the same result with Servo movement stopping a little before 100% with both internal BEC & Cap or External BEC. Using Savox Servos SH-0297's on my Compass Warp with Castle Ice50 ESC.
The Log is showing no sign of Low Voltage and the unit does not reset or behave strangely after many tests.
This is totally different result to using just the Internal BEC without a Cap. In this instance the unit does obviously fail with a reset well before completion of the test and a low voltage being registered in the log .
I had assumed I was seeing normal behaviour !

It is hard to imagine what is few seconds. The biggest factor is how servos are fast.
If they are fast enough, you should see movement exactly to the end for 20 seconds.

Align DS4XX and their Savox alternatives are unfortunately not really cunstructed for flybarless usage (altough they are in a kits), so this can be one reason.

I think it is a bug in the pc software. I noticed mine would stop at 96% or so but the test would finish. No error in log. This happens every time and at the same spot.

But when i do same test from android bt they keep moving until 100 is reached.

Maybe it's lag in the pc software to update the progress screen so it shows about 96 when it's really 100

I use Windows and the BEC test also stops moving the servos before the end of the test, without any error messages in the log. Just as a check, I did a manual test by applying full negative collective and then constantly applying rescue and also constantly applying left and right rudder for about 35 seconds with no problems.

Sorry for the late reply. Servos I use on cyclic are Hitech HS 5065MG and Futaba 9257 on tail. Power is from internal BEC in Jazz 40-6-18 ESC.
