Could someone please explain to me what the inverter in the s.bus cable does? Is it a voltage regulator like in the sat's cable? Most bec won't go above 9v and spirit can handle up to 15. So why not a straight cable with no inverter?

Invertor cable purpose is to invert logic signal which is coming from s-bus output. This is because Futaba is only manufacturer which inverts serial signal. It only modifies data which are going through the orange wire.
BEC voltage does not play any role there.

Tomas,

What is the difference between the Tarot one and the new SBus inverter you are offering? I am currently using the Tarot one without issue, is there something I should be concerned about with it?

ok, I understand. I want to connect in s.bus mode but using an Frsky Taranis, and not any futaba. Do you know if Frsky's s.bus also inverts the signal? If it doesn't then I guess any plain servo lead would do the job, right?

Yes frsky uses the same signal inversion as futaba

Difference is only in construction, but functionality is same. Our invertor should be more reliable in various conditions (for example high or too low voltage). But for most people there is no difference in regards to signal processing.

ok awesome.

Once the new update comes out and I can run power directly into the FBL instead of into the Rx and having to go through the inverter cable to power the unit, the Tarot one should be fine.

Is there any issue with having one power lead directly into the FBL and one directly into the Rx?
