Sorry for this question, but i am not able to find an answer here by myself ..

I want to integrate a Spirit-2 in my T-Rex 450 Helicopters.
My 450 are all paddle-types, with scale fuselages. The paddle-mechanics are a bit modified for more stability (higher weight).

I want to train my pilot-skills, and if i loose control, i want to switch to "rescue", and the heli should return to a horizontal position. Then the heli should hoover stablilised automaticaly.

Is Spirit-2 able to do its rescue-function and the stabilisation of hoover-flight (without exact
position-stabilisation by gps) with my paddle-helis ?

(Please excuse my poor english..)

The spirit 2 will work with rescue on a non FBL helicopter. You just have to click the correct box in the settings.
Part 2 of your question is regarding if it will basically “self hover “ holding position and altitude hands off after a rescue . It will not do this . You would have to add the geo like for this functionality.
However normal rescue will get the skids down , climb the helicopter and the hold a hover u til you take control . It just won’t stay locked into position or altitude as it would with geolink .
If you want it to hover hand off you want geo link .

Yes, i agree.
But it will not hold height and position very precise.
Due to the precision of the sensors, height will be held for about +/- 20..30 cm, and position only for some meters (better results may occure randomly) in some minutes.

But : not bad for such a cheap device !
