Hi,
Using the latest Spirit Settings V3.6.1 connected to an older Spirit Pro ( fmw. V 2.4.xx Cant remember the build number), after pressing the "Flash" button, the fiwmare is downloaded, progressbar goes up to 100&, and then the update process is started, however it never starts the process, it is stuck at 0% even after 15-20min.

it seems like the Spirit Pro unit is in bootloader mode, since the servos are completely silent, but nothing happens, progressbar is 0%.
Normal communication seems normal and it connects immidiately when the application is started.

I should also mention that after a powercycle it works completely normal with the old firmware, so the flash memory is intact.

I am running Windows10 and the driver was installed when the application was installed.

Should I try an older version of Spirit Settings ? ( and where can I download that ? )

Any advice is highly appreciated.

Here you can download older software.
https://spirit-system.com/history.php

You can try flashing with 3.4.0 software. Your firmware is many years old where old format was used. You will need first to convert it to more recent firmware. Version 3.6 already deprecated flashing from such old versions.
In the worst case we can do this for free after shipping to us.

Flashing should start immediately.

Thank you for the feedback

I tried all versions even going back using v2.4.3 of the GUI and flashing v2.6 same issue, it seems like it is trying to catch the bootloader, but without success.
Could it be a bootloader issue ?

Is there any way to update the bootloader ?

And how do I do that if possible ?

I will go far to avoid removing the device from my heli, however if everything fails, I appreciate the opportunity to send it back to you for an update.

Thank you

Hello,

it is possible you will need to update USB driver. This could be reason why it can't update. It should update directly to the latest version.
Yes, bootloader is old in your unit. But this is automatically updated as well.

What is your operating system?

We can connect to your computer remotely and do the flashing. For example with TeamViewer software.
