In this heli (see picture), if I move subtrim slider for CH1 to the right, servo goes down. Same with CH2. But for CH3, if sliding to the right, servo moves up.



What is the rule? How does it work?

I can't check it on the PC now (this was wifi link web interface), but I remember that it's always trial and error to figure out, how to move the slider to move the servo in some direction. Could it be consistent, so for example moving to the left always moves servo down?

in my opinion it has to do with servo reverse in Spirit Settings then this can appear -

it all depends on servo mounting, especially servo arm mounting (can be always 2 ways) and reversing of the servo in the unit... so there are some possibilities

example: 2 non-reversed servos, one mounted left and one right cyclic, servo arm on one is left side, one is right side as both servo arms go backwards... one will go up, one down.

In situation I described, CH1 and CH2 work same way, and CH3 works opposite. So you could think CH3 is reversed. But this isn't the case. CH2 is reversed, and CH1 and CH3 are not reversed.

So I don't know what logic it uses, but looks like some magic.

And whatever logic it is, could it just work consistently in UI? Spirit certainly knows how to move each servo link up, that's what we set "reverse" for. So it could just be consistent. For example moving slider right always moves servo link up. It would be soooo much easier to adjust.

PC software has directions in relation to a real servo movement when everything is configured correctly.
Wifi-Link software or other integrations have not this possibility due to technical limitations and also the sliders are horizontal. In other words you do not have to care about direction at all. Simply move it in direction where it is needed.

you are only interested the computer software.
when you move the stick the green cursor it must move in the exact direction.
right if you move right.
up if you move the stick up
ecc

smartphone software it is only used to refine advanced parameters.
if you see a behavior that you don't like, you move the parameter to have the behavior that you want.
Once you find the perfect setup you no longer need to enter.

Ok, I see that it is correct on PC.
The problem is, I almost never do it on the PC. Always in the field, with integration scripts or in one of my helis with Wifi.
