I think its no need to get a radio with ethos on it - there will be no difference if the programming is the same as in the radiomaster -

I think the "mistake" is maybe in the programming on the Radiomaster or in the FBL...

Have you maybe a mix which reduces the travel of the pitch by activating the rescue ?

Is this a new Spirit ? Have you crashed it before ?

This will possibly bore the two of you to death but I've put out the full video where I set everything up from scratch, including mechanical setup etc.
Subtrim and pitch adjustment could perhaps have been a little better but you can see pretty much everything and verify that the setup should work.

Again, I can't thank you enough for assisting me. It's extremely hard to diagnose this types of things remotely and I appreciate your efforts.

The Spirit is brand new, bough from the Norwegian dealer in April. I bought a geolink from Spirit directly a little later and didn't put it in the model until after my summer vacation. It's been in the air for some short flights only, no crashes or any other strangeness. It flies fine in the air, exept for Rescue that is.

There are no mystery mixes or anything like that. The original model memory was from the vbar days but I hav set up completely new model memories without any curves or anything special.
Even if there was a mix affecting collective pitch it could not affect collective pitch while rescue is active. When rescue is active the spirit governs collective pitch while the user can only affect cyclic. This is how the manual explains it and also how it looks in practice.
From what I can see there is something wrong with rescue, not only does changing rescue collective pitch not affect anything but there is also no attempt by the gyro to change the attitude of the heli. If the heli is flown at a steep bank it will not pitch to a level attitude when rescue is engaged, only decend quicly with the same attitude.

is there some other things connected to the Spirit unit (other than Rx, esc & servos) at the time of testing? did you try to completely disconnect the Geolink unit?

nb: ... i do not know your TX, but is it really the only way to assign Rescue switch to a channel by using a Mixer? (no direct assignment Switch>Channel?).
nbb: ... why do you use motor channel mixed with pitch? do you use pitch stick for throttle too instead of a fixed throttle value by flight mode?

please do me a favor, do not connect geolink to the spirit and try please rescue alone -
I haven't seen the video now so far but if you connect geolink too maybe there are some effects -

After checing your settings file I found the mistake immediately.

You have not set F: Rescue (...). Instead you set F: Stabi Mode which is mistake.
Then it will work immediately. I recommended to check it at the beginning. However it seems the mistake is still there.

You are mixing two engaging modes together. For this reason it cant work.

Hello Tomas, this is already corrected by the user "loctite" after we exchanged on his settings on HF. see attached a screenshot of the last video he posted some post back >> where this setting is ok. ("F: Rescue" & "selected by channel"). anyhow not working.
