Hi,
My micro spirit stops working today : initialization is ok, servos respond to radio inputs but when I move the helicopter by hand, there is no responsive servos movements. It's as if the gyros of the spirit were out of order. It happens after a little crash in tall grass (I have another micro spirit and did not have this issue ). I connected the spirit to my computer and the configuration seems ok. Today temperature is 26 C° and the spirit is a little hot but no so much. My setup is : 2S 320 mah, Castle Talon 15, SRXL2 DSMX Serial Micro Receiver, BlueArrow D03013 cyclic servos, Blue Bird servo BMS-101DMG for tail. I've bought it on march 2023. I hope it's not a hardware issue. What can I do ?

Thanks

Check cables, connections, there may be a loose wire

I have a second heli with also a micro spirit so I replaced the working spirit with the faulty one and I have the same issue : servos do not react when I move the heli by hand. So, I think it is a hardware breakdown.
But I don't know why : is the breakdown due to the telemetry cable for the castle ?
I will use my second spirit and buy another one because I can't stop flying....
But I hope I will not have another hardware breakdown due to my setup.
If it is usefull I can return the faulty one to find what's the problem.

thanks for your help

Hello,

if you have not changed any wiring the unit will be fine for sure.
Can you send me serial number in the private message that you can see in the connection tab?
What changed recently in the unit?

Hello,

Here are my last changes :

- change the tail servo ( june 2023 ) : Blue Bird servo BMS-101DMG
- plug your telem CC cable ( may 2023 ) for my CastleCreation 15 A to have telemetry ( it works )

I flew around 50 times in this configuration without any issues. It was a soft crash, I've had a lot more and hard crashes without any issue.
I observe that the tail servo takes 5-10 seconds before moving, don't know why, perhaps it needs some time to initialize.
This tail servo works when I move the rudder stick.
ESC is connected to AUX, signal of the receiver to P/E/A, power of the receiver to RUD, servos to CHAN1-4.

Can a short-circuit on the telem cable or the tail servo damage the unit ?

Thanks for your help

Hello,

I dont understand if it is working now or not. But you can unplug everything, plug only power and see if it works or not.

If servo has incorrect wiring then it could burn servo or unit itself. Only some manufacturers have correct micro servos with JST plug. For standard connectors you will need JST-Servo adapters.
Problem could be in poor connection of the Telem CC cable for example.
In Telem CC there is nothing that could damage. There could be only loose connection inside servo socket connector maybe.

I don't think you can expect than a flybarless works well after a fall.
When the model falls the shot can break the control unit or it can do nothing and everything works perfectly.
the helicopter crashed and the control unit broke down.
It's not the spirit's fault.
It means it broke inside is filled with delicate motion sensors, buy a new unit spirit

No need to buy new unit.
Our units can survive basically any crash. And even if damaged we can repair it.
Problem is rather wrong servo or some cable is damaged.

Hello,

I plugged my previous micro spirit instead of the failed one, load the same configuration, and it works well : servos move when I move the heli by hand.
I've flown several years with my first micro spirit, have many crashes and it continues to work perfectly,
My first spirit is used in a 1S setup ( so esc / servos / motor are different, heli / receiver are the same ).
I love spirit products, so I'm going to buy another micro spirit to have a spare.
But I can't figure out what's happened, maybe bad luck !
