Hi,

wow, increasing the frequency to 150 Hz improved behavior at least on the bench significantly. Now I can see the influence of changing gyro gain again and I feel more comfortable again with tuning know parameters. Tomorrow I will try to fine tune outside.

Thank you very much for your help!

Regards,
Alexander

Hi,

I am sad to report that I am still not able to get the heli into the air without that hard oscillating tail. Shortly before lifting off it starts regardless what parameters are tuned. I even set the servo frequency up to 333 Hz.
Holding the heli in my hand I mostly can force the oscillation to start by turning it a little bit to the side with a fast move and can also sometimes stop it for a short moment doing the same again. This happens regardsless to what side I turn the heli.

I ran absolutely out of any idea now...

Regards,
Alexander

I don't see anything wrong with the setting, maybe the direction of the collective is reversed, why?
Please send me a photo of the helicopter, just a few, as well as details

Hi,

all stearing on the bench, as well as reaction to tilting and turning lead to a correct reaction of the heli - and of course the stick movements are matching the displayed system's outputs.

Alexander

There can be multiple reasons for this behavior, unfortunately it is hard to guess.
For example it could be motor or ESC interference with tail servo or Spirit unit.
Unfortunately components that are used on these small helicopters are usually of low quality. So anything can be reason for this behavior.
I recommend to observe tail servo and check if it has relation with headspeed.
If tail will start to oscillate always even with very low RPM then it is not caused by vibrations for sure but some kind of interference.
It could be also some mechanical issue at tail. I dont know if there were some changes or crash when it was working with other system.
