Hi,

using GeoLink feature by channel, is it safe to power up the heli with the feature Return2Home in mode ON (4) and keep it that way during flight and landing and just switch to ON (1) if return to home is wanted?
Or should I power up the heli with ON (4), then after blue LED of GeoLink is enlighted, switch the feature to OFF before take off and engage to ON (1) if Return2Home requested?

Regards,
Alexander

i use on4.
You turn on the model and wait for the blue light to come on. (in this moment is off)
Now you take off and fly.
If you want to go home push the button and now you are on on4.
So when you take off it must be off.
when you turn on he takes the position automatically.
Is easy on4

But you I think you don't understand how it works return to home you have to decide whether to use:
on1 or
on2 or
on3 or
on4
you can use only one function
PS
choose on4
let me know if you understand otherwise I'll make you some screenshots

So you always use the setting OFF while powering up and flying and just ON (4) to return to home?
I thought with ON (4) the position of powering up will be programmed and with ON (1) Ithe return to home is engaged.

Alexander

Hi with on(4) you power on with RTH switch off and get gps blue light it sets that as your lift off point. When airborne you switch RTH and it returns to your lift off point. The confusion is in it being called return to home and having settings within spirit to specify that on a map. Think of your switch options as what you want the unit to acknowledge as home.

Hi,

as far as I understand now, explaind in my words:

Power on the Sytem with R2H switched to OFF.
Wait for the blue light of the GeoLink.
Lift off and fly.
Switch R2H to ON (4) to bring you back to the point of lift off.

Sounds easy, but I could not verfy it on the bench. Seems I really need to lift off and not just raise and move the heli by hand.

Regards,
Alexander

I use this mode and it just works.

I think it needs to know it’s moving by the vibration and will lock the position in memory so not sure if walking will work well.

I always test it every few flights just to make sure all is ok, for that I spool up, move it higher and a bit far from spool up and activate it and see it RTH…

geo return to home should NEVER!!!! be used under startup or on ground! only while you are flying!

you can connect your batteries, and your receiver.. give it at least 20-30 sec before you take off for calibration and home point.

same goes for position and altitude hold MUST BE OFF! while on the ground
