I just replaced a spirit 2 with a spirit gt. The firmware is 3.4.1, bind plug in pit/elev/ port for dsmx. The satellites blink but every time the bind fails. I've tried a variety of satellites and new wires. any help would be appreciated.

Hello mb-1953, sometimes the distance from the transmitter to the sattelites are to short, then binding fails - try an wider distance - If this doesn't work, do you have an spektrum receiver with satellite-Ports ? Try to bind the satellites with the receiver with the respective modelmemory - Push in some battery 4-Cells (NiMh) in the receiver for power supply and try to bind with the transmitter - If they are binded you can put the satellites into the spirit and bindig in spirit isn't necessary any more - The bindig is only a thing between receiver and transmitter and not a thing of spirit...
Regards Matthias

Please make sure to select correct frame rate in the radio. If it is for example DX6 then it can bind only at 22ms.

I tried various distances, won't bind. The frame rate is 22ms. I have over 20 helicopters and all with spirit and have never had a problem binding before. The radio is an IX12. Any other suggestions?

As above said, it has nothing to do with the Spirit FBL, try it in another way with an receiver as also above said - Maybe you have an problem with your IX12 ?

In this case you have to bind with two bind plugs. One at SYS port and one at ELE/PIT/AIL. This will initiate 22ms binding process. iX require 22ms frame rate in order that all channels are working. So please try two binds plugs. I hope this will help.
