Hi Everyone,
Forgive me for my lack of knowledge or understanding around set ups for Spirit systems, I am just back to the hobby after many years away and things have certainly changed. I am struggling with Gyro gain settings on the Spirit2 FBL and how they transfer to my Spektrum DX9 radio. Could somebody please explain these Gyro settings in the Spirit2, and perhaps how they work and what settings I require in my DX9 to enable rescue, stability modes that are in line with my FBL. I understand to start with 50% Gyro but dont understand when I am to assign -50% in the Gyro radio settings and what switch I can assign these to on the DX9? I use switch B for Normal, FM 1 and FM2 attitudes. Many thanks in advance.

Hi Rob, the only thing to know as a absolut beginner is tail gain - tail gain will be transfered from your spektrum transmitter to the spirit fbl as I have showed you in the other thread - for flying around you don't need a gain that's minus - for rescue, stabilisation, coaxial or others you can take an free channel to activate the settings - In the stabi tab you can choose the wanted function as rescue, stabilisation, coaxial and so on....
You have two channels that are free Aux3 or Aux4 - In the digital switch setup you can adress an switch to an channel, you can take an momentary switch or an two positions switch - more is not needed - thats the easiest way of configuration, believe me -
For the head gain: Most the prests for headgains are very common -

If you dont want an extra channel you must do a mix that you get an minus value to get an activation of the function rescue, stabilisation, coaxial etc. - in the stabi tab you must choose the wanted reaction also -

Hi Matte61,
Thank you, I get it now.. finally. I have set my Tail gains in the DX9 Gyro to 55% for all modes. I fly in FM 1 normally, so I will see how 55% translates to the tail in FM 1 & 2 and adjust from there. Thank you once again for clarifying for me. Sorry I was a little slow on the uptake. Take care mate.
