Hi I currently have a Tron Nitron nitro heli with an OS55HZR, I am looking at fine tuning my spirit governor on a GT unit. I am getting some over speeding when performing pitch pumps, tic toc's seem pretty good (but could be a little better)and have adjusted response and holding the best I can, but now I am playing with the holding limit. adjusted holding limit from 80% down to 60% and I noticed a big difference but still getting some over speeding. question is, is there a specific amount that you can't go below for the holding limit? my guess is that you adjust down to allow throttle to compensate for the over speeding, should I go lower than 60%? I would like to hear from any of you who have had good success at getting their spirit governors to perform well. Thomas, feel free to chime in, would like to hear your suggestions! my current settings that have worked so far: Requested RPM is 1950 (idle 1) and 2100 (idle 2) using 2 magnets on the clutch (getting good readout) log tells me that governor is engaged Governor response: 3 (any higher and I get severe over speeding on pitch pumps) Holding performance: 2 (any higher and the engine rpm's seem to rev higher than what is expected, even during hovering) Holding limit: 60%
Looking forward to hearing other pilots experiences.

Hi,
to reduce overspeed it might be enough to decrease Holding Limit. Then all could be good. It is recommended to set as high gain as possible, but without overspeeding. So decreasing Holding Limit should help a lot.
