Hi,
I am trying to use the spirit wifi. I can see the little blue light come on now and again it is a very slow flash and when I try to discover wifi it shows in the list. However when I try to connect it is a different story, it tell me it is unable to obtain IP address. I have tried this on a few devices and it is the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
maybe you can try to turn off mobile internet or try farther from your home wifi router.
Were you performing some configuration changes previously? It should work out of the box. We are testing each module before shipping in the same way, so it should work with default configuration.

I have tried it both on a mobile device, laptop and desktop and does not work. Is the blue light meant to be solid? If so mine is not it does a very slow flash. Also sometimes I have to repower it just for the ssid to show up.
I am wondering if there is anyway to do a hard reset on it.

It should be flashing slowly. Can you describe how it is powered and how it is connected to the unit? It is enough to just power it to be able to connect.
Reset is possible, but the module has default settings if it is new. We are checking each module if it is possible to connect and configure with a smartphone before shipping.

The red connector goes into the sys port, the black power one goes into the aux1 port.
I am powering from a 6s pack
It use to work maybe I changed the wifi settings on it without knowing, I got the wifi when I got the GT (pre-order) I beleive last year. How do I go about resetting it?

I will send you special guide. Unfortunately you have to damage shrink tube and use special software for resetting the module. Otherwise we can do it if you can send the module to us.
Probably you set the module to Client mode to your home Wifi. So it could be connected to your network. Can you verify DHCP assigned addresses in your router?

Hello! Excuse me for joining this thread, but I have a similar problem. I own two rather old and long unused Wifi-Links which I want to use now in my 450er and 250er. When I plug them in, (Sys and Aux2) they blink blue, but even don´t appear in the wifi-list on my computer or my cellphone.
Maybe they are too old and have to be flashed, too.
Thx for a reply! Regards, Susita

Thanks look forward to the guide, will see how in-depth it is to do. If too trouble some will send back if ok?
My network changed as I moved addresses and using someone else's WiFi so that could be it

Hello! Thx for the reply and little Update:
I managed to flash the wifi-link and to install the update. Further problem is, that only managed once to get into the settings for a short time. Seems that the link shuts down it´s connection, when I try to enter the client in my browser on pc (no blue led anymore then)
For my android-cellphone: Link shows up in wifi-list, but shuts down while trying to connect.
I kindly ask for further help on this problems.
...I just figured out, that the "smaller link" seems to be a bluetooth-link? I couldn´t try it yet, but is there a need for upgrading, too?
Thx and Regards Susita

Hello,
probably you configured Wifi-Link Auto Turn-Off. This will shutdown the module if there is no connection.
It is enough to disable it back. With default settings it should just work.
Yes, each module has label at the PCB so you can find what it is. No need to updated Bluetooth module.
