Hello Tomas,
I have connected the telemetry port of my HW 130A HV to SAT Port1. Telemetry works fine.
Now I want to add an fan to ESC. For fan power supply I would like to use Plus/Ground from ESC telemetry port and just the orange signal wire to SAT Port1 for telemetry task
Is this ok or is the dedicated ground on SAT Port1 mandatory for proper functionality?
Best regards Walter

I think it is not nessesary, you can check electric continuity between SAT1 ground and servos ground if there is then the gnd on SAT1 is not nessesary

Hi,
Today I checked the continouity between GND SYS port and GND SAT1 port and it works. From my point of view and according to you everything should be fine when I cut the GND on SAT 1 port.
Only signal wire is connected to SAT port
Are we right, Tomas?

Hi,
mostly it is not necessary, because power supply has shared ground with JST connector. And power supply is usually ESC. So it will work with only one wire in the most cases.
