Believe I've tried it all to this point without any luck. I'm not even able to get the satellites into bind mode (flashing).

So far:
-Tried following each step in the manual thoroughly
-Tried several different satellites (all Spektrum dsm2's), always with the bind plug in the SYS port
-Tried different FW versions on unit
-Tried skipping all the steps in the wizard after RX is selected in order to make sure that the selected source is saved, followed by a separate bind process
-Went back to factory settings several times in order to "start over"
-Tried with pre binded satellites, and been successful with getting a solid light from them when connected to the unit but no signs of communications in the Diagnostic tab
-Even tried with different bind plugs, a bit desperate, but when running out of other options..

The unit seems to communicate fine with the pc in all other aspects and work as intended with boot sequence and gyro reactions from the servos.
What should I do next?

Hello,

first I recommned starting the unit and selecting: General / Receiver Type to Spektrum DSM2/X.
Then save the settings with Save button or CTRL+S.

Once it is done, please insert a bind plug into SYS port instead of the USB interface.
Remove all other cables in ELE/PIT/AIL if they are present. Then repower the unit.

Then satellites should start to flash immediately.
Is this happening?

Hi again,

I just followed your instructions, removed everything except BEC in AUX1 and the bind plug in SYS, still no flashing from satellites?

Thank you for the message.

Are the satellites at least flashing once when you power up the unit? I mean exactly at the moment when you plug in power.
Can you let me know what power supply are you using for powering the unit?

When you restart the unit and connect USB interface again, can you see that the Receiver type is still set to Spektrum DSM2/X?

A very big shout out for the quick replies :)

There is a very quick flash in both satellites when powering up, I'm using the BEC from a Scorpion Tribunus set at 7,1 Volt. The Spektrum DSM2/X setting seems to be stored as intended since it shows up in the software when restarting the unit.

Thank you.

Do you have any other power supply to try with?
If you are able to bind the satellites somewhere else, for example from a receiver, you can try to connect bound satellites to the unit.
They should communicate normally. If not, then something is very wrong unfortunately.

Tried again, using a RX-battery with non binded satellites and the bind plug. Bind mode not initialized. When using prebinded satellites, they appear to be binded when connected to the unit with a solid led when transmitter i turned on, but no signs of communication with TX when looking at the Diagonsis tab in the software.

Hello Vismund,
do you have another Spirit FBL-System to test if it will work there ?
If you bind the satellites with an normal receiver the connection between the satellites and the transmitter have to work, this is independend of Spirit-FBL - you only have to select the right receiver type in the spirit software and then safe the settings and then close the spirit software. Then power off the unit and put in the satellites - then power up the Spirit - put in the usb interface, wait until FBL has a solid led (no blinking) then run the spirit software again and then should all work - If not, then try other satellites for example dsmx2 if your transmitter can handle that - Another way to proove if the satellites are ok is to put it in an DSM2 receiver with telemetry, bind it than with the transmitter - now you must see the different antennas and the info of fades, framelosses etc. - If not then your satellites are broken - you take spektrum satellites ?
Maybe helpful will be if you show some photos from your heli and show us some photos from the spirit software or maybe your stellings ? I be afraid if you can show us not as more a help from me or Tomas will be not possible -

Best Regards

We already shipped another unit to test. We will see the result soon I guess.
