Hi Thomas,

I thought by myself during the setup of the function for my scale heli that a better automation can make life much easier.
Sometimes the setup in theory as a default can be different from the best fit for any reason.
Other stabis may have some similar (not the same) algorithm to make the setup easier.

Here the proposal user stories for some setups in Rudder, Rescue and Stabi modes.

A. Userstory: Semiautomated setup of Rudder neutral position.

Setup of the rudder slider zero position should be done during setup.
Nevertheless I think fine tuning can be done better later during flying.

The process can be done as follow:
1. Setup tail and optimize it for Heading Hold like written in the manual.
2. When the setup is finished there might be a programming function to setup that allows to store the position by pushing a button of the transmitter.
3. Having this, the Heli should hover in HH at nearly zero wind.
4. When the Heli is hovering stable, the position of the Rudder should be stored as new zero point by pushing a button at the transmitter (additional correction field to preset).

The effect is that when I switch to scale flying the zero point is directly in the right position as well when I start in any mode.

B. Userstory: Semiautomated setup of hover pitch for rescue

1. Prepair the function that the hover pitch can be stored by button push.
2. Hover in any mode stable in a hight higher than the ground effect.
3. Set up the the hover pitch to the actual value by pushing a function from transmitter in a dedicated correction field
4. Landing and setup the rescue pitch above corrected hover pitch

This will help to setup an exact rescue pitch.

C. Userstory: Semiautomated swashplate leveling in neutral position at low wind

1. Prepare the function that the swashplate servo position for pitch can be stored by button push of the transmitter.
2. Start the heli in HH mode and hover so that the heil is most stable over a ground point.
3. Preset the position for the stabi mode as a start point.
4. Switch to stabi mode for fine tuning.
5. Move the role and pitch against the drifting so that the spirit can learn to make an additional Swashplate correction.
6. Doing this several times only with a litte stick movement, the position drift would be smaller and smaler.
7. When the drift is good enough eliminated push a store button and fill additional fields as correction parameter for the swash level (pitch values not included)

This can perfectly setup the swash plate level even it was not good enough during the setup.

Having this function it will be easier to manage differences as today to have the best setup for flying in several modes without any issue.

Best Regards

Bernhard

good idea. Intelligent auxiliary detection and auxiliary settings make it easier for users to set the best. More people get started.
