Hello, just got a new spirit gt (think I just found my new favorite flybarless BTW). I was wondering if I hook the rpm signal wire from my hobbywing v4 to the pit pin, will that allow rpm readout to my jeti without enabling govenor in the GT. Or would it be better to run the spirit gov and disable the hobbywing gov? Thank you in advance.

Yes , it allow rpm Reading without spirit gov. Hobbywing gov is fine, so i recommend using the hobbywing gov.
