Please enable Spirit GeoLink in the General tab.
This requirement will be changed in future update.

It works now.
Tried the automatic rescue feature, too. Set the height to 20m.
Works also like expected.
Funny thing when activating the rescue just right after start and watching the heli climbing up to 20m ;-)

The only thing i was wondering is the huge drift of the heitht value.
On ground, without running motor, the value always is held at zero.

After spooling up and flying the value shows a correct height for <1min. During the ongoing flight the value increases even if the heli is not climbing any more.

I made 4 flights and the height after 5 min of flight was 5 to 15 m on ground after landing.

Here too. Same problem. Also Altitude limit with Geolink does not work anymore...

Can you please post the issues with Geolink in another thread.
This one is only about the GT internal height / altitude / pressures sensor

thx

Hi Spirit Team

I have done some Telemetry screenshots to show you the behaviour in different flights.
Everytime after landing the "zero height" was 6 -10m. See screenshots.
"height-diff2" Shows that the automatic rescue alititude was set to 20m.
About 30 sec after take-off i tried it out and the diagram shows it very cool ;-)

Hello,

when main rotor is spinning it creates very big pressure difference under the blades. This is causing "drift". Unfortunately this is very dependent on where the unit is located. Generally
it should be more or less similar each time so it shouldn't be a problem.

Most of the flights show 8-10m of difference after Landing.
Does this mean that my solution setting the rescue height to a value of 20m to get a "real life value" of 10m is the correct way to go?

Yes, this should be OK.

I updated my GT to 3.3.2.
Today i made some flights ... the value for altitude is at zero again during flight..

I cannot get any altitude value during flight with the new 3.3.2.r2.
As i wrote before, it stays at zero all the time

Do i have to disable Geolink now to get the value?

Hi,

Since the topic "Re: [SOLVED] Spirit GT altitude value not working" has been set to solved I have moved my post to a new topic. Please only comment to the new one at the link below.

Thank you.

Hello Tomáš,

I'm also experiencing drift of the pressure sensor during flight to such an extend that the trigger value is below ground level, which means I would crash into ground if I would rely on it at this point in time.

One suggestion - either as a replacement of the fixed trigger height (if drift cannot be eliminated by firmware) or as alternative trigger mode:

It would be good if the trigger point could be set in air at the moment the Automatic Rescue (AuR) is engaged. - Lets say I hover at 8m and engage the AuR. The unit uses the corresponding pressure value as the new trigger point.
Then I fly around and after a while I want to practice a risky maneuver and want to be sure that my AuR would work. Before I do this maneuver I disengage and reengage the AuR at the desired trigger altitude which will eliminate any drift the system may have accumulated up until that point. I think that this would be better than relying on an AuR system that may not trigger at all. An unreliable rescue mode is worse then no rescue mode at all.

What do you think?

Regards,
Bernd

Thank you very much ... i connected the GT with the usb adapater and disabled Geolink in the Software (it cannot be done using the Jeti Interface, at least i did not find it there?)

Now the altitude is shown again ;-)
