Hi,

got my new GT and vey happy to see the new loging features.

Can i take the configuration file from Spirit2 that has a Geolink connected to it and import them in a Spirit Gt and not have to redo the blade parameters ?

I will reuse the same Geolink with the new GT.

Thanks

Hi,

yes, you can save and load the settings.
It should work out of the box with the same settings.

Thanks Thomas,

I have another question with the migration.

Should I continue using the Geolink for altitude limit or the Gt has a higher performance and is more precise ?

I am not sure if Geolink uses only the pressure sensor or as well GPS ?

Thanks

GeoLink is utilizing GPS/GNSS, Pressure Sensor and Acceleration.
So the results should be better there.

On the other hand Spirit GT has more precise pressure sensor. But pressure is changing a lot in some cases, so GeoLink might be better generally.

Is this advice still valid, also for Harddeck?
So it would be better to use Geolink v2 for Harddeck than Spirit GT standalone?

from my tests rescue automatic spirit gt and much more accurate.
Even if from the technical characteristics in theory geolink v2 it should be better.
I too have to decide whether to use rescue automatic spirit gt or altitude limit.
I tested on various helicopters and it always got better rescue automatic spirit gt.
Even if it's because of my abilities I always tried horizontally I have never tried with helicopter vertically or during a 3d maneuver how he behaves.
I try flips, loop, tik tok and after if the helicopter goes to the minimum height set automatic rescue is activated of the spirit gt (but in posizion horizontally)
While the geolink sometimes it deactivates itself (type 2 times out of 10) while spirit gt works well 10 times out of 10
or the geolink activates at different heights while spirit gt it always activates at the same height.
I can also document my tests sending you videos if you're interested, because now I decided to always leave Rescue Automatic Spirit GT and I use the geolink for other functions (return to home for example return to home geolink v2 It's always worked out well for me this feature is perfect)

Spirit GeoLink v2 has 3 sensors for measuring Altitude, so it is more precise for sure.
GT and GeoLink has same pressure sensor so pressure measurement is identical for both.
The only difference could come from placement of the modules.
For the most pilots GT is more than enough.

franz88: You can't use Hot Glue for GeoLink - this is forbidden even in manual. Otherwise it could create air pressure difference inside the enclosure.
It will still measure but not as fast and measurements could be unexpected.
