Hello! The Spirit GT will be the first non-Spektrum receiver/controller that I'll be using. I'll be using it with my Blade Fusion 270. I've checked the manual and I have some confusion I'd like to clear up.
Currently I use an NX8 transmitter to an AR636 receiver/controller combo. Looking at the manual
here it says to use an SLRX2 receiver for newer setups. I know my transmitter uses DSMX/DSM2, but I've never heard of SLRX2 until now. Googling the term, it looks like it's a communications protocol, so I assume it's the latest communications tech that will supersede DSMX? If so, does my transmitter talk SLRX2?
Tying this all off, if I purchase the SPM9747, for example, and the SLRX2 adapter cable in the eShop, I'll be able to use my NX8? The manual only mentions the DX and iX transmitters, and not the NX. So far as I know the only difference between the lines of transmitter is the NX has wifi built into it and the DX transmitters do not. BUT, before I go buying things willy nilly, I wanted to be sure.
My last question is, the SPM9745 is not mentioned in the manual so far as I can tell from searching. The 9745 on the Spektrum site just says DSMX -- would that work in the same fashion with the same cable from the eShop? What would I be losing if I went that route? Is there any reason to go that route?
I apologize if my questions seem basic and common sense, but this is all very new to me and my Google-Fu hasn't clearly netted any information on this particular aspect of this part of the hobby. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
