I have a newer (20 flight?) spirit2 that for the first time in my life I am trying stability. I notice it had a acro stability and got curious about how it worked. I turned it all on and bench checked it. The heli is flat on the table and when I switch the stability on the swash tips back some and to the left a touch and sits there. It reacts correctly when moving the heli around. In flight the first time I tried it the heli would tip forward and left a touch. I did a flip or two to see if it would let me and it did. Still had the forward cyclic inverted too. Then I tried the stabi correction. Now the heli tips back in flight like it does on the bench but both still tip back when stab is active.

I picked up a spectrum 6250hx and when flying I noticed it would not trim out. That unit allows the user to recalibrate the sensor so I did and it has been perfect ever since. Any way to calibrate the sensor in the spirit2 ??

Thanks for any help
Dennis

Hello,

it is possible also with Spirit to calibrate it.
But first, please make sure the following things:

When you tick Servos/Subtrim (tuning) all servo arms are in the middle and swashplate is perfectly level and also there is zero pitch between main blades.

Is this the case?

What heli are you flying?
When you are flying and switch the stabilisation on does it drift off or does it make the right corrections? Upright or inverted when in flight?
Or do you have to make corrections to make it stable?

I got the heli leveled off and recalibrated the sensor. Rebooted the system and happy to report it works perfect on the bench. Swash stays still when I activate stabi. Im confident it will work in the air also.

Huge thanks to Spirit for helping me with this little problem fast and with out insulting me. Great job !!!

I just got a test flight in. Stability works great. No trim issue upright or inverted. Only played with it a little bit to see how it acts. Piro flips smoothed out, slowed down tic tocs a little and felt a little funny in funnels but this is still the stock settings. I will tune it up later. I got a buddy who only flys a couple times a yr. Cant wait to hand him this.

Thanks again for a great product backed by the best service.
