Well...

Just gonna probably give up on getting consistent results with the 4649t. Seems no matter what's done, it's hit or miss on being able to access that damn menu, lol.

I had a 4650srxl2 micro rx on hand and decided to put it on my Oxy 3 to test out. Yes, I know it's not technically a long range telemetry receiver, but these small helis don't fly that far away anyways. So I got it connected, changed the setting for srxl2 and been able to access the menu everytime

One weird thing though is that if I setup a telemetry dashboard window using just RPM, I lose access to the text gen menu, but as soon as I delete the dashboard window, text gen works again, lol. Which I guess is okay because I can get the headspeed from the esc window.

So I think I'm just gonna convert everything to the srxl2 stuff (since the 4649t are discontinued anyways).

hello the 4649t had a update in 2018 regarding the voltage it can sustain,
I don't think that's your problem.
(and it takes a Spektrum cable that costs 30 dollars to update them) I have not had any big problems with those. I have never lost the signal. I can access the text gen as I said
if you need to change take the 4651 is the 4649t's older sister.
my advice never take compatible receivers on spketrum, orange etc. you can't trust them.always take ORIGINAL rx only.

The problem of the 4649t at least according to what Spektrum engineers report is not suitable on its own for heli of a class higher than 300.
therefore another additional sat is needed
With the spm4651t I have not yet seen if it can be used in combination with a sec rx (sat or other)

My next rx will be a spm4651t.

This has been a small problem for me for a long time with a DX9 and now on a DX18 with the 4649t. I loose ESC data as well as intergration, usally just
unplugging the rx battery and restarting does the trick and all is well. I changed 1 heli over to a 6610t plus 4651t ( this is on a e820) and all is good telementry
and intergration works every time. I have another 6610t plus 4651t ready and will probably be fitting this to my e700 today....
Also a lot better signal with a lot less fades with SRXL2 setup....

Yea, I never use any of the cheap knockoff stuff, not worth saving a couple bucks for it to fail and lose a 2k+ heli, lol...

As for running the 4650 or 4651t, that's where there seems to be some slight confusion and perhaps Tomas can chime in, but both are listed as dsmx srxl2 devices, but spirit manual says only srxl2 receivers can be used with srxl2 satellites, however there appears to be no srxl2 satellites, so how is one to utilize a 4651t and an additional satellite on larger helis?

The spm4649t in the manual says that it can be used in combination with a Sat
1 Spektrum satellites (optional)
To improve receiving capabilities you can connect additional Spektrum satellites. So the combination can be following:

Spirit 2 - 1x SPM4649T + 0-2x Spektrum satellites
Spirit Pro - 1x SPM4649T + 0-2x Spektrum satellites
Spirit - 1x SPM4649T + 0-1x Spektrum satellites
µSpirit - 1x SPM4649T + 0-1x Spektrum satellites

You can not use the 4651t with any sats, as i said above you have to use the 6610t plus 4651t on larger helis...The 4651t is a sat to the 6610t...

So with the dilemma of not having srxl2 satellites available (at least as of yet), how is someone supposed to setup the larger helis without using an AR6610t receiver? Not to mention if wanting to utilize 8 channels?
