I have just updated 2 helis from 2.1 to the latest 3.1 I think , on the bench pressing recovery the swash now goes down instead of up & then After 2 seconds the elevator servo dives down and states there , I have managed to get the swash to go up in recovery but it still tilts forward & remains there , , I have 8 spirit units , my 2 Uspirits On oxy 2’s updated ok I think from 2.8/3.0 , so 2 not working & 4 more to still update , all help appreciated

I had a similar type of problem after upgrading one of my helis to 3.1.0. I then reflashed the firmware and that corrected the problem. Please try reflashing the firmware and letting us know the result. Thanks.

Hello,
maybe you did performed accelerometer calibration with 3.0.0 version. Could that be case?
Please press CTRL+ALT+M when Spirit unit is labels upwards - as close as possible to the horizontal position. Also please let me know also from which unit it is.
This will let us know if calibration is not OK. It can be corrected easily then.

Hey, I used CTRL-ALT-M on some helis on v3 due to rescue/swash issues. Now I've gone back to v2.8. If I go to v3.1 will this also cause issues? Sounds like doing the calibration again will fix it, is that correct?
Cheers

If you performed calibration with 3.0.0 then doing calibration again with 3.1.0 might be necessary. Calibration is performed with CTRL+ALT+U - at the time of pressing the keys Spirit unit should be perfectly level. For anybody that have no issue it is not recommended.
With CTRL+ALT+M you can easily check if calibration is really good or no.
All pilots that were not performing own calibration will very likely never need it since it is done in Factory. But at least you can anytime check it, because previous firmwares were not using this sensor part.

Kennyd: Can you tell me what values you can see there? The -M shortcut will not fix the issue, but will tell us if the issue is due to calibration.

Oh, ok, thanks, I forget which I did now, was probably -U, which fixed the rescue/swash issues. What's the difference between the functions of -M and -U ?
Thanks.
