Based on my troubleshooting the SPM4649T receiver on my Trex 450 seems to be the problem for my transmitter not logging telemetry correctly so I am replacing it with a SPM4651T receiver. Does the signal wire from the 4651 also go to the AIL pin on Spirit the same as the old receiver? And do I also still choose Spektrum DSMX as the receiver type in the Spirit settings software? Anything else I should know?

Hello,

this new receiver is supported with firmware version 2.8.0. It will be released within few days.

All wiring details will be covered in our manual.

Thanks Tomas,
I resolved all my issues but I wanted to give you some feedback about the SPM4651T receiver I was using with my Trex 450L. My transmitter was logging telemetry correctly so I didn't have a problem with the helicopter. The problem was with the TLM VIEWER software not reading the ".TLM" file correctly; but I fixed that.

I did however try the SPM4651T receiver thinking that was going to fix the problem. With an original Spirit unit I used the Spirit version 2.8 beta software and firmware found on the SRXL2 thread in the general discussion area. You may already be aware of what I experienced as it is beta software; but this was my experience. Everything worked correctly except:

-Channel 5 (gear) was reversed and the end points were off.
-Channel 7 (AUX 2) was reversed but end points correct.
-BEC voltage telemetry from Hobbywing 60A Platinum V4 ESC was always zero. Since the SPM4651T has no voltage telemetry input connector (like the SPM4649T has) that left no way to monitor BEC voltage output.

I reinstalled my SPM4649T receiver and everything is working correctly now including TLM VIEWER.

Thanks and good luck with the new SRXL2 receivers from Spektrum. I hope they work out in the future.
