Hi, I am about to setup the governor on my Goblin 380, and have a couple of questions.
Firstly, in the max head speed box, is this calculated using 3.7 v per cell, making 22.2 v for my 6 cell lipo?
Secondly regarding the gear ratio, my heli has a gear ratio of 5.45, but the Spirit software only goes to one decimal point.
I know this is only a small difference but it would be nice to have it as exact as possible.
Can this be addressed in a later firmware update?
Thanks, Eric.

Just a bump to see if I can get an answer at some stage.
Eric.

Hi,

Max Head Speed is simply value you can get at 100% TC with governor disabled.

Yes, it is so small difference that RPM readout is way under the threshold. So it would make zero change in the behavior.

Thanks for the reply. Regarding the max headspeed figure, obviously one does not actually fly the heli at 100% throttle curve with no governor to see the max headspeed it can achieve!
So it must be a calculated value. Which brings me back to my original question, what cell voltage is used in this calculation?
I am assuming that it is 3.7v per cell, but would like to confirm before setting up the governor.
Thanks, Eric.

Castle creations use a nominal figure of 3.7v per lipo cell for their gov settings....

Thanks for the reply.
I think this must be it as 3.7v is usually what is called the nominal voltage.
I just wanted it confirmed by the man himself to be absolutely sure.
Eric.

Yes, it is true, because it should be the lowest average voltage during flight.

Great, I will use this value.
Thanks for the reply.
