Not sure if I have seen this info before now after all these years..... so I asked support this question:

When updating Firmware and Software for Spirit Pro’s, or any Spirit Devices, do I need to
apply the updates in the order they were created, OR is it ok to
update with the latest software and firmware that is available skipping some of the ones I have not installed?

You can update from any version to a version you wish.
There is no limit, so you can update unit even from 1.0 to 2.7 firmware.

This is outstanding news for those who have had too much to do in the holiday season to update all my helis.

Here is my take on this:

Technically it may and will work. Not sure how you will keep on track with the changes and new functionalities implemented from release to release. You may end up with setting up the Spirit (and GeoLink) from scratch, respecting the latest Spirit manual.

It goes without saying that even if I upgrade any FW SW or Geo, I always before every flight, do a check of all the functions I have programmed into the Radio to ensure all will work properly before every flight. I also of course check the FW SW installed to the devices to ensure they work properly before each flight, as well as batteries charged and double check everything. Pre flight checks I recommend doing for all, has saved a lot of crashes and problems. Happy Holidays everyone! Dave
