I was completing the build on a soxos strike 7, with the new spirit 2. I use satellites as receiver. Everything was normal, the satellites bound the set up of the spirit 2 was complete. I repowered to set up the kontronik and the satellites blinked slowly, not as if binding, but not steady on. The transmitter did control all of the functions and switches of the spirit2. So I tried to rebind the satellites, now they blink quickly only. They don't bind and the spirit software will not connect. When I power up the spirit 2 it does not even do the swash bump. Is the unit unusable?

Hello,
please check the Status LED and disconnect everything that was connected to the unit, except USB interface and a powering lead. It look like something new was connected to the unit (Kontronik telemetry?) and after this the problem ocurred, am I right?
Can you describe what was changed before the problem happened?
Probably you just configured Kontronik Telemetry which will turn of the SYS port as displayed at the screen when you are changing the settings.

No telemetry, but following the procedure with disconnecting everything worked. After binding the only way the sats would both operate with a solid light was to use the adapter you sell.On sat port 1 the satellite blinked slowly after binding.

Thank you for the details. I fear that something could be wrong with LDO that is powering satellites. Possibly a satellite could draw too much current. Are you able to measure voltage at the sat port? - when satellites are disconnected (carefully) You should see 3.3V.

I measured 3.29 volts on Sat 2 port.

That looks good. In that case I can't see any reason why it would not work.
What will happen when you will plug one bound satellite to the Spirit unit directly?
