Hi all,

I setup a new Soxos 600 and I have large vibration reading on the head and tail, you can see in the screenshot.
I disassembled the heli and actually like to handle the mainrotor vibrations. Also I attached a Vbar Blueline for comparison (I am using this more in the past and have better understanding how it works).

After exchanging some components the Vbar has a constant reading and the Spirit goes up and down, you can see in the movie. This is without head and tail.

Any ideas about it? I exchanged the Spirit with another unit and same behavior...

The second screenshot is with tail mounted but without blades. The readings are stable then but Vbar does not recognize it either.

Regards,
Nils

PS. No advertisment for Vbar, but like to solve this issue (if it is one), so this is why I compared it. :-)

Is that during an actual flight? With some 3d moves and hard stops or tick tocs or anything? Because you're always going to have spikes of high vibration when you are flying 3d.

If it's that high in a hover something else is going on. My vibrations are lower in a hover on my nitro machines.. But anything under 50 is fine to fly with and you shouldn't notice anything.

Hi.

The first picture is during hover and the others from the bench.

I can feels the high tail Vibs also, so Vibs readings are fine. The strange video is without while tail on the bench, that’s is a little confusing.

Cheers
Nils

Hi,

vibration level of the tail is really high, but head looks good.
So I recommend to carefully check everything that is spinning at the same speed as tail rotor. It could be for example torque tube.

So what you can do is to remove everything from tail shaft. Then perform the analysis again and check the spike. For sure it will be smaller but it depends on how big it will be.

Spirit units can sense vibrations in higher quality and resolution for this reason you can see big difference.
