hi, need some help, please

I am trying to set up a T-REX 600 nitro. With spirit pro and geolink. am using Futaba and S.BUS. 18ch

on channel 5 got rescue on a negative value.
on channel 8 with altitude hold
on channel 9 with position hold
on channel 10 with altitude limit.

Today I tried my helicopter and while been in the air, I have switched CH8 on to activate altitude hold...

the helicopter was going up and down and advice to reduce the vertical gain so I reduced the vertical gain, from 80% down to 60%
on 60% the helicopter was still going up and down like before so I decided to go to 55%

On 55% on altitude hold was not doing much on the first position where I can control the pitch, so I use the second position with no pitch control and the helicopter was going UP very fast.

I try again to change setting so I disable the altitude limit, try again with 50% altitude hold, and on the first position was no doing nothing and in the second one, the helicopter went down, very fast and crash, I was not able to do nothing to avoid the crash as was going to fast down, and by the time I disable altitude hold I was already on the floor.... a very bad crash

any help to discover what happened, please!!

got the files of the crash.

is there something am missing with the setup of altitude limit?

anyone with more experience can help me, please. I just need an easy setup with altitude hold and position.

Hello,

unfortunately it look like the basic setup of the collective pitch is off the center.

When Subtrim (tuning) is enabled the Collective Pitch must be exactly at 0°. So that when main blades are folded both ends of the blades are at the same level.
For Altitude Hold and Altitude Limit this is very important. Could you verify this?

It is very sad you were trying these features at low altitude, because if you are trying something new you can't never know what will happen. So it is always important to check at the altitude. So then you will also have time to turn off everything.

I recommend to verify any feature always in altitude at least 2 times higher than in what you are able to turn off the feature.

Hopefully it will help you. Also I recommend to perform update of the firmware since there is newer one.

hi

I check the Collective Pitch at 0° and was okay
I think is more of a sofware setup issue

can you please take a look of the setting?

thanks

Theo

It is not correct to set just 0° when pitch stick is in the middle.
Correct way is so that you will enable Subtrim (tuning) feature.

The most precise way is described here:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... tive_Pitch

With this procedure your setup will be perfect. Please take a look and check if your setup was done in this way - this can have also big influence on the flight performance.
