Please take a look at the first tab on the Geolink settings. It should show you that it is "fixed" and how many satellites it has. then you know if you had a GPS signal (and the LED is steady Blue). I think when it is greyed out there is no GPS connection and therefor you cannot see it's position.
It can take a while the first time to get a good GPS Signal
