It is unfortunately possible that the mounting of the module does not allow air to flow freely around. This then create backward pressure so that it sense much higher height than the real one. It is only guess but we can check it from the GeoLink flight log. It would be good to have log when your model is in the knife edge maneuver. It is only important to find which time of the log it is.
This could help with finding where the problem really is.
We are just working on an alternative solution where air flow will not matter that much in the upcoming firmware update. So that mounting will have minor role. So if we will confirm through the log that it is due to mounting it could solve the problem.

I can confirm that this problem exists. I tested it today with my T-Tex 550X and could repoduce it several times. Picture of my GPS mount location is attached.

I would like to add my name to the list of people with this problem. I finally got to do some more flying and more testing on the GeoLink. The altitude limit works fine every time as long as the skids are down (did not try it blades down). I tried it with the Heli coming down at an angle and it does not rescue. I tried this at least four times and all four times it would not rescue. Mine is mounted on a Goblin 500 Sport.

Dear Mr.Eugen
Is your GeoLink mount made of plastic + aluminum + steel parts?
Regards,

Dear Amal,
My GeoLink mount is made of an aluminium clamp with a 40 x 40mm carbon fiber plate glued on it. As of today I would use the GeoLink mount Spirit is selling, but it was not available when I bought the Spirit Pro with GeoLink.
