I currently use a very precise spirit level layed on the Spirit unit to level it before every flight. I use this because I use Normal Stabilization and rescue. They both work very well. My question is, how precise do I need to be?

Great question, I was wondering if the forward tilt of the Oxy skids affects Stabilization and rescue and if so, do I need to level it out during initialization. Then after the swash dance can I let sit with its normal rake before take-off.

I wondered the same thing, that's why I went ahead and bought the GPS,it takes the guess work out of the equation once you set it up. Rescue is activated automatically.

If model is within +/- 10° then all will be fine.

Does this mean that if I am within the 10 degrees the stabilization will be accurate/ level?

Yes it will work ok. I have a trex 550x which has a 5 degrees nose down attitude due to the skids. Rescue still rescues perfectly vertically up.
