Hi folks,

I bought a 2nd hand Lynx OXY3. It came with a Spirit + a HW Platinum 60A V4.
I'm very please how well the Spirit system is working!
The Rescue mode (also named Bail Out?) is a very very nice feature for a beginner like me.
I'm so enthusiast about this Spirit product than I'm planing to buy a Spirit Pro + a HW Platinum 80A V4 for my flybar TRex 500 ESP.
Right now, I'm too scared to break it when flying alone. So, the Rescue mode can be my third wheels. ;)

I read that using a Spirit module with a Flybar heli is just a deluxe Gyro. Is it true?
To me, I think the Spirit as more value than a basic Gyro. From what I read on this forum the Rescue/Stabilization/Coax modes are working like with a FBL heli.

Any constructive comments are very welcome. Buying a Spirit Pro + a new ESC (to me, current consumption monitoring is much better than monitoring the voltage) is a big expense on my RC budget. So, I just need to be comforted in my choice. :D

Hi,

thank you for your interest!

You can use Spirit unit on a flybared helicopter with all its features similarly as with flybarless rotor heads.
It will make it much more stable and you can just enable what you want.
Later you can use it also on a fbl model.

So I think it is worth in any case.

HobbyWing ESC is good choice too.

Hi Tomas,

OK, I'm convinced. I will pass the order later this week.
Moreover the support on this forum is very fast. :)
This also must taken in account when buying some complex system.

Seb
