Tore down the tail assembly polished and oiled the tail shaft.
Tail gain at 50% seems better at lower head speed but at higher head speed
still getting the fast wag. Reduce the gain to get rid of fast wag but then have slow wag
at lower head speed. I don't see any vibration issues, logs attached.
Have any other suggestions ?
Did you solve the problem with your tail?

How can I adjust the 24 poles of the motor?

The ESC single RPM output wire connects directly to the PIT port of the Spirit unit. That means you can get RPM telemetry even without the Spirit Uni cable.

So your motor has 24 poles and the gear radio is 1:1. Ideally you would use "12" for the "Governor Sensing Divider" and a Gear Ratio of "1.00". However, as you must have found out, the "Sensing Divider" only goes up to 8. In this case use "6" for the Sensing Divider and "2.0" for the Gear Ratio.

Disclaimer: This works well for telemetry readings. However, I don’t know how well this works for those trying to use the Spirit governor.

Looking forward to using the Spirit gov on my Mini Comet when they raise the max RPM limit.

I can't get a tail configuration for my SAB Mini Comet, when it works with 90% motor power. With lower gain the tail is stable at high speed, and only occasionally starts to resonate badly especially after a long dive into the wind, but I can't fly a negative backward turn, the SpiritPro cannot hold the tail heading and all hell breaks lose! Rescue function is pointless, since the tail gain is to low, the tail cannot be held in position. I can increase the gain on the transmitter, and the negative backward turn is just fine, but now the tail resonates wildly even in horizontal flight without a dive. Either I fly fast or I have reliable heading lock, but I didn't find a configuration to get both.

Servors: MKS
Tx/Rec: Jeti
FBL: SpiritPro

Configuration: Common Gain = 1 - Gain Modifier in the Tx = 7% for high speed and 20% for reliable Head Lock (Controller Output Level tested from 85% up to 90% in 1% steps - result is marginal better at 85%)

The SpiritPro FBL is working as intended at lower Controller Output Levels, but it's not exciting to build a hot rod MiniComet with high quality components only to limit the power output to avoid problems with the tail or the heading lock.
Any suggestions?

Snold, did you solve your issue?

Just built a new goblin fireball comp and got the death wag at 90% throttle and gain wayyyy down at 30%. Caused an un-controllable piro leading to a crash

Any recommendations?

It is necessary to decrease Rudder Delay. It is likely that 0 would be the best.

Can you share your settings please?

Hi Tomas, good to hear from you

I’m running a Compass CM301N on the tail, spektrum DX9 tx.

My settings are-

Rudder delay-0
Rudder Dynamic-8
Pirouette consistency-160
Rudder Revomix-2
Rudder Common Gain-1x
Rudder rotation speed-10
Flight style-7
Cyclic gain-60%
Rudder end points is- 145 (left) 125 (right)

My flight log has a large amount of Cyclic Ring activated and rudder limit reached, I really didn’t think I was throwing it around that hard. Just a lot of pitch Pumps and a few rainbows etc

I’m thinking I have to further reduce tail gain, maybe to around 25.

The tail mechanics feel nice and smooth and I have checked that the thrust bearings are in the correct orientation

Thank you!
Hamish
