Am I missing a setting, causing motor to fade in and out after take off, in my gaui x3, I have changed esc to hobby wing with 7 amp bec. Still does it am I not supplying enough power or what?

Hello,
from your description it could be caused by enabled Governor in the Spirit unit while ESC has also enabled internal Governor. So there are two governors enabled at the same time, which will result in described behavior.
Please verify your settings - General tab/Governor window.
With your settings file attached it would be perfect.
