Thanks for the response.

Best answer I have for you is:
Without blades during the ambiguous vibe analysis the main 'big' spike read 5700ish at wide open throttle..but since it's title varied from 'main rotor to main motor to tail rotor' depending on rpm...do with it what you will. I have no other way of reading it. But I have wondered about it. Sounds like tail is spinning crazy fast.

What SHOULD headspeed be?

i have a 2 blade 180 and at 4500 it screams. 3 blade should be able to run far less. if you google Taming the blade 180cfx. its got lots of great info. i run 2s and 3s on mine. i would try to get rpms down then see how it acts.

I hear such good things about them and I'm totally looking forward to see this one fly right..assuming it will. It's well above my abilities and was meant to be grown into. I wanted a 180 trio and knew I'd do some upgrades anyway so when I saw this I went with the abo (all blinged out) when I should have went with a stock bnf and learned first. I also wanted a Oxy2. My trio, with all its Lynx stuff, is kind of a Oxy1 qube..? (wink).

For next attempt I moved ball on tail servo in closer to the center..adjusted some tail settings in fbl. And now I'll mess with throttle curve to play with headspeed. I know most throttles for these are on governor and I'll get there but with as sketchy as this one is I need to feather it or slam it off when necessary so..should motor timing be low or normal? Throttle set to 0 to 100 linear. My timing is set to normal and might by why headspeed so high?..assuming the 5400-5700 I saw on spirit vibe analysis was actually accurate. But that was also with throttle wide open and without blades. I'll check it again. At 3/4 throttle with blades it might be right.

Hi,

can you share your settings please? You do not have to take a screenshots. It is enough to attach one 4ds file that you can get in the Backup tab.
Then we will see all the settings.

The tail issue could be solved in the Advanced tab, but this depends on your current settings.

I just tried to get 4ds file for you and here's how this goes for me...

I can save my settings but THE ONLY WAY I can find or see the saved file is with model connected to pc and Spirit software open, then choose 'load' under the backup tab in spirit as you would if transferring set up to different model. Any other way than this, it's like the saved file doesn't even exist. When in that screen, I right click the 4ds file to move it, copy it, or share it and I get the results in the attached pic. Can't do anything with it.

That is very strange. I can see you have somehow modified Windows, right?

It should be enough to click here (in this forum) in the web browser at the Attach file button and select this file from your computer.
No need to copy it anywhere in the File explorer.

Windows not modified just themed.

If I can't see/or find the file..I can't do anything with it. Cant move it. Cant send it. Can't copy it. The only thing I can do with it is load it into a model. I have to get that file on this phone to send as I don't have internet on pc. Even if I could send from pc...it doesn't see it.

Thanks for your time.

Unfortunately it is not easy to help without required information.
It is like calling doctor over phone and wanting to cure everything. Unfortunately this hobby is always taking time, as any other hobby. It is important to take time for understanding, otherwise it can't be better. Instead you will be more and more frustrated.
Someone need more time, some less. One can be lucky it is working out of the box even without knowledge, but sooner or later he will need to learn it too.

At this point we are having troubles just uploading a single file, this is not matter of this hobby but only some computer issue.
I understand that for beginner in any area it is always hard. So patience is needed.

You only have to click:
Attach file, then in the window that will appear go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Spirit Settings and there you will find the file (4ds). From your photo I can see it is there (2 times).

I'll just try a different fbl system.
