I enabled the Kontronik Kosmik & Jive Pro Telemetry. Now I need to make some parameter changes using the Spirit PC software, but the Spirit PC software does not recognize the Spirit Pro. The Kontronik Telemetry guide on the Spirit website states, "If you need to use Spirit Settings software, you can deactivate temporarily ESC Telemetry by not turning transmitter on. At this moment normal connection for the USB interface or Wireless connection is established." I am powering up the Spirit unit without turning the transmitter on, but I am not able to establish a connection.

Please, help me establish a connection between the Spirit software and the Spirit unit.

*********01 March 2018 EDIT***********

The issue turns out to be a problem with the Mac version of the Spirit app not recognizing the Spirit units. Possibly do to the Mac drivers.

*********14 March 2018 EDIT***********

Issue resolved. It was an issue related to the way Mac OSX High Sierra 10.13.3 allows access to "unrecognized apps". This turns out to be not an issue with the Spirit application at all. I've been using Macs since 2007 and have been generally happy with them, but ever since Steve Jobs died Apple just has not been the same. Anyway, Tomas' instructions are right on the money:

"macOS High Sierra 10.13 introduces a new feature that requires user approval before loading new third-party kernel extensions, referring to Apple Technical Note TN2459:
https://developer.apple.com/library/con ... index.html
When you download the Mac OSX CP210x VCP driver v5 from silabs website, try to approve the CP210x driver by clicking "Allow" in the Security & Privacy System Preferences panel as TN2459 mentioned and let us know your test result if possible.

You can try to disconnect your receiver (just unplug the cable).
Some receivers are behaving as if transmitter is on and sending the data all the time without possibility to recognize it.

I disconnected the Rx wires from the Spirit unit. It did not help. I am using the Jeti REX6 receiver and a Jeti DS-24 radio.

Hmm, that is strange. Next thing what you can try is:
1. turn everything ON,
2. after initialization turn your transmitter off
3. start the Spirit Settings (all should work now).

This should work for sure.

Basically one second after signal is lost (Failsafe is triggered), it is switching back for normal connection (disabling temporarily telemetry with ESC).

Well, there seems to be more to the story. None of my Spirit units are connecting to the Mac computer, but they connect to the Windows side (Windows on Parallels on my Mac). My guess this has to do with the Mac drivers. The Mac drivers on the manual are for previous versions of the Mac OS. I have the latest Mac OS High Sierra (10.13.3). What is the Mac Driver for MacOS High Sierra?

Please check the manual:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... TION_TO_PC

There you will find driver for High Sierra.

Well. It seems my Mac is no longer able to connect to the Spirit units. I downloaded and installed the High Sierra drivers, but no luck. I am not sure where to go from here.

Did you rebooted your Mac after driver installation? Basically you can find that it will work just by checking if the USB interface Device is present in your Mac as /dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART. The Spirit Settings will show you no device otherwise.

Yes. I've rebooted the Mac several times.

When I check on the USB device, it shows up as:

CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller

The Vendor ID is: 0x10c4 (Silicon Laboratories, Inc.)

Where should I see the "/dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART" you mentioned?

Here's a work around that's not necessarily ideal:

With your Jeti, go into Device Explorer-Spirit-Advanced-ESC Telemetry

Turn off the Kontronik/Jive Telemetry, then try to connect via computer

I'll play around tonight with my G570/Jive Pro/Spirit Pro (although no mac) to see if there is a solution.
