Hello,

Because I was a bit bored this winter, I decided to add telemetry to my Goblin 380 using the Spirit, Hobbywing 80A v4, and the SPM4649T.

Prior to doing this I had my Gov set up using the Spirit and all was well. However after adding the SPM4649T I can't seem to get the Spirit's internal Gov to work again.

Let me walk you through the steps I've done to see if I've missed anything.
1. I updated my Spektrum DX9 to 1.20 and the Spirit to 2.4.3 (I did reflash the unit's bootloader)
2. Installed the Telem UNI cable (actually, it's one I made with the red wire disconnedted at both ends)
3. Went into the Spirt software and enabled the Hobbywing Platinum v4
4. Attached the SPM4649T to the Spirit (With my own 'Jeti Integration cable')
5. I then completed the steps to get telemetry - which does show up on my DX9 and it seems pretty nifty
Note: Because of how I had to attach the reciever I no longer have the ESC RPM sensor attached to the 'PIT' port in the Spirit (it was my understanding that this would be replaced by connecting the ESC and the Spirit with the Telem UNI cable - if this isn't correct, well then I may have found my problem.)

Now here is were things didn't seem to work out for me.
6. I then tried the Gov and it didn't wasn't changing head speed when I changed my stunt modes (0-100, 70%, and 85%). After reading some trouble shooting stuff I decided to reset the endpoints on my ESC to make sure that they were correct. Still didn't work.

And that's when I decided it was time to seek some outside help.

Something to note on throttle behavior. If I leave my throttle curve from 0-100 I can change the speed of the rotors, but at around 50-60% throttle it just keeps climbing to 95% throttle regardless of my input (as long as it is above 50-60%). And when I switch to Stunt 1 or Stunt 2 it just stays the same, no change in headspeed.

If anyone has any thoughts, I'm all ears.

Thanks for looking!

To my knowledge, the RPM signal wire needs to still go to the center pin of the ELE/PIT/AIL port.

You do still need to have the esc rpm lead going into the pit port.

Problem solved :]
