hi

I cannot operate telemetry from a kontronil jive pro with a futaba t14 SG and spirits units ( red and pro).
Futaba firmware 7 is installed on the T14, spirit unit are flashed with firmware 2.4.3, telemetry is set on kosmik and jive pro in advanced menu of the units, and kontronik ESC are flashed with 1.9 firmware. The RX is a 7008 SB, and set on fasstest 14 CH single and global. Telemetry is activated (0.5 sec).
In the TX, sensors are set to roxxy on slots 1 to 5 and then slots 6 and 7 are set to SBS-01V.

For the wiring, here is a photo (BE CAREFUL, THIS WIRING IS WRONG):

Image

The connector on the left is the kontronik telemetry cable , must be connected to sys port (orange on signal pin)
The connector on the middle is the light brown wire from kontronik, (must be connected to elev pin) and the orange wire from frsky telemetry cable (must be connected to ail pin).
The connector on the right is the frsky cable ,( red wire must be connected to signal pin on the rudd port.)

For the frsky cable I took attention: the shorter head of the cable is well conneted to sbus2 port on the receiver. Of course, the little connector of the kontronik telemetry wire is connected to kontronik jive pro data port.

So with the red spirit, it sets well, but I have no data from the kontronik esc on my tx screen, only the internal receiver voltage. (This shows that the futaba telemetry works.)
And the spirit pro do not want to initialise with the same wiring and settings.

I surely made a mistake somewhere, but I do not know where ?

( sorry: it is not easy to explain in english for me !)

Hi,

looking for a solution for my problem, I was reading this post and want to attach myself...

I also am not able to get telemetry working with the spirit pro. My R7003SB is connected as described in the manual with the shorter end to the s.bus2, the modified connection to the spirit pro is as it should be.
The wiring should be correct, I checked it for hours now... ;)
In the diagnostic tab I can see some strange low frequent input of jumping values for the different functions, so the basics even do not work.

I checked to connect the spirit pro via a straight servo cable using a s.bus port on the RX (in factory-settings (mode A), port 1 is set to s.bus). Now the diagnostic-tab delivers results as expected.

I do have no red or black spirit to play with, but it looks like I am not the only one having a problem with the spirit pro and telemetry...

Maybe I also missed something?!?

Regards,
Alexander

We are very sorry for the problems, but there was a mistake in the guide.

Please modify the integration cable according updated photo:
http://manual.spirit-system.com/index.p ... le-mod.jpg

Then it will work.

Great, the values in the diagnostic tab are as expected now! :D

Thanks for the fast response!

Best regards,
Alexander

ok, I made the change for the frsky cable, and it works now ! With the red spirit and with the pro one. Ouf ! :D

But two things:

1)With my jive pro I am used to connect a buffer pack before connecting the main pack and if I do like that, some values remains frozen to zero. No problem if I connect the main pack first to initialise the jive pro before connecting the buffer pack.

2) I used telme futaba until now in order to get telemetry, and I writed the gear ratio value into the jive pro with kconfig. As the rpm value are wrongs with the spirit telemetry, I think that I need to change this jive pro setting ?

I will do some other tests soon.

Thank you for your answer.

Good job!

Regarding Gear Ratio/Sensing Divider you have to set it in the unit in the Governor settings. It is needed to temporarily enable governor, set the values and disable governor.

Thank you for the advice:

I have set the divider and the gear ratio to 1 in the governor setting of the unit, and no need to change my settings in the jive pro. RPM works fine with the jive pro sensor.

There is still a little problem: The battery voltage value ( supply voltage for the Rx, unit and servos), around 6 V, provided by the unit is different from the voltage provided by Rx-batt (provided by futaba telemetry from the Rx) which is around 8 V (the real value)?
