I have an old EagleTree Brushless RPM sensor. Can I use that with my uSpirit? If so, where do I attach it - AUX, or does the signal pin go to the Elevator (middle) pin in P/E/A? Thank you!

No idea if that sensor will work, but yes, the signal goes to E, the middle pin in a Spirit or Spirit Pro.
And to power it... how many V it needs?

Less than 5.6 volts. Would I plug the black & red wires into AUX? I don't care if I blow up the sensor, but I don't want to risk the uSpirit or my Talon 25. Thank you!!!

Your BEC gives 5.5V so... yes, any port is good for powering it (but not SYS nor P/E/A! )

Because of difference of pin layout in uSpirit, it is necessary to connect the RPM sensor to P pin. Then it should work.

Of course of course, sorry, it's the P pin which is the middle in the Spirit and Spirit Pro and the left one in the uSpirit.

Excellent! Thank you both. I've read the instructions for the EagleTree sensor, and am confident it will work. I just need to pick up a small jst pigtail this morning to try it out. I put a Talon 25 in my new Oxy 2, and just last night worked out the governor function, so I want confirmation that my gov rpm settings are accurate. This should help.

I hooked the sensor up to one motor wire but got no response, so, in reading further, I bought the TELEM CC Cable thinking that this would give the uSpirit the rpm info it needed for the governor. I hooked it up last night, and although I'm now getting RPMs on my Tx, I don't thing the gov is working. Do I also need the sensor in addition to the TELEM CC Cable? I'm now thinking that maybe the Sensor would work the gov, but not provide RPM telemetry, and the TELEM brings telemetry, but no control over the gov, correct? If so, I'll retry the EagleTree sensor and hook it up to two motor wires. Sorry to bother you with questions, but I've been working on this for too long and can't find the answer I need... Thank you for your help!

For governor you will need the RPM sensor in any way. RPM data from telemetry are not fast enough to provide good and accurate response. So the external sensor is needed.
If your sensor has two leads, you have to connect both (one per phase).
