Hi,
Channel mapping is still very unlogical. If I select sbus futaba it would be great and logical to seen the actual channels. Now to asign a channel you have to try until you see the green bar move, much easier to asign throttle to ch3(i believe is ch6 in the spirit, no logic there ) , or gain to 5(futaba channels) in stead of trying.

Hi,
I understand your problem. But the issue is that completely all manufacturers are using a different channel numbering. So what is channel 1 in Futaba is different from Graupner, from Jeti, etc.
Then there is another issue, that more intelligent radios allow to reassign channels in any way. So then channel numbering is completely out of order. Some radios such as Jeti is changing mapping even between used modes or models.
So we are at least trying to provide default settings that should match out of the box with such radios if there is default assignment. And where it is not possible we have profiles (FrSky/Jeti/Graupner) that you will just load to your profile and you are ready to fly.

If vbar, skookum, beastx can do it, so can spirit. You select your transmitter type and always get the proper channel mapping. Mult 2 or 7ch makes no difference. The first 7 are always the same.

I am afraid, but there is nothing different with these FBL units. The problem can and will occur on any of these. It is not technically possible to solve it. If we will change numbering then yes, it can match Futaba (until you will change channel order in the radio), but then it will not match with others that it is matching now. Moreover they do not support that many protocols as the Spirit units.
Default channel mapping for Futaba is: 1. Aileron 2. Elevator 3. Throttle 4. Rudder 5. Gyro 6. Pitch
If it is configured in your radio in this way, it WILL work out of the box with default settings of the unit. So there is nothing you have to do either in unit and radio.

Not with 2.4, ch5 and 6 are switched. If you select futaba it should be easy to show futaba channel numbers. Same for spektrum. Sorry I don't understand why it's technically impossible since all units have it. I can show you in a video of the vbar or spartan or skookum software?
