Hi, at the tests after the winter break I discovered some wierd behaviour on the Spirit. When moving one of the controls it violently jerks the swash. Looking in the Diagnostic Tab I saw that there are inputs on Ch. 5 of unknown origin.
I tested two transmitters and two recievers witch both made the same problem.
I reseted the spirit on factory and I reflashed it with the latest firmware but still the same.
It is connected via SUMD with six input ports.

Anyone any idea why this is happening or is the spirit faulty?

Hi,

if you have updated to the version 2.3, then there were changes in Graupner HoTT implementation so that you do not have to modify anything from default preset in your transmitter and unit as well.
So that in previous firmware you needed to swap Channel 5 and 7. Now you do not have to do it.

Your channel mapping in the unit should be from Ch1 to 7.

If you are using HoTT integration, you can change it easily in your transmitter or in the PC software.

So probably your Bank switch is activating Rescue mode, so when it is at 0%, the unit dont know if you want to activate Rescue or normal flight. So it might cause such strange behavior. But in reality you only have to put these 2 channels to default.

Also channel ranges and reverses were updated. Please see ChangeLog for 2.3.

So I am using an MX12 and an MZ12. That means just changing the output number of the SUMD setting to seven is enough? Because now it works fine, thanks.

Yes, unfortunately for MX/MZ-12 there is a difference from all other HoTT transmitters, that Gyro channel is mapped in a different way.
So to fix it, you will just need to set Channel 7 as Gyro Gain :) Then it should be fine.

Ah... you can also remap the channels in the receivers for those with more than six channels.

By the way ZeX, I was a bit surprised when after the 2.3 update I needed to remap everything. Though also pleasantly surprised I could do everything through the telemetry (guessing the new channel ranges are 100%, not 85%). Made for an interesting half-hour on the beach! :o

Mapping is just little bit different - swapping of CH5 and CH7 is necessary and default travel/reverses as well.
It is mentioned in the ChangeLog for 2.3, but you are not the first surprised :)
