1) If I understand this correctly, any negative gain setting, with function set to stabilization in the stabi section will give me self level. The higher the number the more stable it is and the lower the number the more reactive it will be to the sticks, but still self level. As in high number, bank angle is limited and low number bank angle is less limited. Is this correct??

2) Here is what mine is doing:

Bank 0 = Stabilization (normal) = gyro gain -65 = tail rotor is in rate mode.

Bank 1 = Rescue (normal) = gyro gain +65 = tail rotor is in heading hold mode.

Bank 2 = Stabilization (scale) = gyro gain -70 = tail rotor is in heading hold mode.

Why don't I have heading hold in Bank 0????

1) You are right, but only partially. Gyro Gain is not affect how stable the Stabilisation mode is. It can only activate it or deactivate it.
Percentual value of the Gyro Gain is always, in any mode, it is configuring only gain for the rudder gyro.

2) Gyro is in the Normal mode only in case, that you will set Function: Disabled or Stabilisation (scale) and Gyro Gain will be negative.

Bank 0 = Stabilization (normal) = gyro gain -65 = tail rotor is in rate mode. - NO, it will be in head lock mode.
Bank 1 = Rescue (normal) = gyro gain +65 = tail rotor is in heading hold mode. - YES
Bank 2 = Stabilization (scale) = gyro gain -70 = tail rotor is in heading hold mode. - NO, it will be in rate mode.

Thank you Tomas. So, in order to have stabilized flight mode in Bank 0 and Bank 2, with rescue in Bank 1, I want:

Bank 0 = Stabilization (normal) = gyro gain +65 .
Bank 1 = Rescue (normal) = gyro gain +65.
Bank 2 = Stabilization (scale) = gyro gain +70.

Is the amount of limited bank angle changed with the gyro gain setting in the "limits section" or is it always always limited in stabilization mode and can not be changed??

Jim

Bank 0 = Stabilization (normal) = gyro gain -65 .
Bank 1 = Rescue (normal) = gyro gain -65.
Bank 2 = Stabilization (scale) = gyro gain -70. (Gyro in Normal mode) This stabilisation is used by scale flyers.

Negative value of the Gyro Gain will activate always what is configured in the Stabi/Function. If there is positive value, then it will be always inactive = Normal flight mode.
If you will set the gains for the banks to a negative value all the time, there will be no normal flying mode.

Is the amount of limited bank angle changed with the gyro gain setting in the "limits section"
No, Gyro gain affect only Gyro gain of the rudder + can activate selected Function (if negative).
You can set all the parameters of the stabilisation in the Stabi tab for each bank separately.

So, if I have -65 in Bank 0 and Stabilization (normal) in the function box, I will have self leveling and heading hold on the rudder?

If I have -65 in Bank 2 and Stabilization (scale) inthe function box, I will have self level and "normal" ruder?

In the stabi tab, nothing can be changed but the "function. The other numbers are grayed out and can not be changed. How do I change the parameters??

First you have to select a function. Then parameters that are available for this function will be configurable.

For example for the Stabilisations you can set Direction Control Rate which is changing the behavior significantly.
In the Coaxial there is Stick Priority and Direction Control Rate. For Rescue there are other parameters.
Only if it is Disabled (no special function) then you can't set anything else there.

When you are new, I recommend to try these functions without a Banks.
Bank switching can complicate it as there are much more possibilities.
So it is better to start with easy things.

You will only have to set 2-state switch in your transmitter (for Gyro Gain) and then selected Function can be activated/deactivated anytime you will wish.

Thanks for the help Tomas and I am getting closer.

Mine works BACKWARDS from above. In Stabilization (normal) my tail works as normal (centers itself) and in Stabilization (scale) my tail works like heading hold.

Nothing lets me adjust anything in the stabi tab. I can not change banks in the diagnostic tab. It is always "0".

When I connect I get this message:

Current bank was switched to Bank 0.
Bank switching, via transmitter is disabled
whie the software is connected.

Bottom right, there is a listbox you use to select the bank you are looking at in the software screens.

In the Diagnostic tab you see which Bank is currently commanded from the TX, but for the software to show you its data you need the listbox above.

In the Backup tab, there is a button which shows you the differences between the banks.

Hope this helps, you are getting there!
