While setting up my Spirit Pro I noticed the servos are only moving a small amount.
- Diagnostic screen shows +/- 100% - DX9 monitor screen shows +/- 100% - Cyclic servos are Savox SC-1257TG - Pulse=1520us, Freq.=200Hz - RX is Spektrum AR9350 - Two Satellites
The strange part is the servos stop responding when I reach 75-83% on the Diagnostic and Monitor screens. Increasing the servo travel on the DX9 does not help the loss of response before I reach full stick on the DX9. Using the sliders on the 'Servo Travel Correction' screen does not correct the issue.
To troubleshoot I took the RX out of the configuration, plugged the satellites into the Spirit Pro and rebound. - No change.
- Tried changing servo freq. to 150Hz and 333Hz - no change. - I then tested the servos with my servo tester and get full response/rotation. - I then plugged the servos directly into the AR9350, bound it to my DX9, and the servos respond as expected through the full range of the sticks.
So that tells me either the Spirit Pro is not responding correctly to the signal coming from DX9, or there is a setting someplace in the software that I have not found.
Also, the amount of travel I get before the servos stop responding when connected to the Spirit Pro seems less than it does when they are connected directly to the AR9350. But I might be wrong about that since I did not take any measurements.
What am I missing?
Thanks,
Jon...

Hello,
I guess that the only problem might be low Limits/Cyclic Ring value. This parameter is exactly for this purpose - to limit the cyclic deflection and prevent from possible binding. During the Setup wizard it should be configured according the instructions. So increasing it should solve the problem. There should be no other reason for such behavior.

Thanks, I'll play with that and report back later today or tomorrow.

--Resolved--
As suggested I adjusted the Limits/Cyclic Ring value and that resolved the limited servo travel I was observing.
Right now I'm still checking things on the bench so I had not configured the pitch and cyclic ring settings yet. Was just making sure that the servos were working which is when I noticed the small deflection on the servos.
After re-reading the manual and adjusting the Cyclic Ring value to see how it effected the servo travel it now makes sense. Now that I know there are no issues I can continue with my build.
Thank you very much for pointing me in the right direction.
Have a good day!
Jon...
