Made it to the Diagnostic page and all seemed fine. Plugged in the servos and the aileron moves with the elevator. The elevator moves with the throttle/collective and the servo on channel 3 won't move at all. Tail rotor servo is fine. Had to use the Algin 450 helicopter, because there is not an Algin 250.

Any thoughts on what is going on????

Jim

Hello Jim,

first from all you can check if the Diagnostic page is looking correctly.
This mean if you move with a sticks, do you see a correct movement in this page?

When you move with elevator (forward) do you see that the Elevator bar in the software is doing the same movement (in the same direction)?
Same should apply for at least aileron, rudder and collective.

If this is correct, then we can go forward to the servos.

First verify all the channels work correctly on the Diagnostic page.
Then verify you have the servos connected to the correctly.

It sounds like you may have the Elevator and the Aileron connection swapped

Yes sir, this was correct on the page, but once I plugged in the servos, they responded differently.

It says at the start that "pulse" and "HZ" are very important, however, this information is hard to find. Servo manufacturers do not list this in the specs for their servos.

The only way I can get the setup program to see the device is have it all powered up before I open the program.

When binding it says to disconnect the device, bind, then disconnect the battery. When I do this, I lose all connection. I find the instructions in the wizard confusing. It sounded easier then it is turning out to be. :)

I might have accidently damaged my seros. Not sure right now.

Thank you for the info.

So in the transmitter you do not have to change anything now. So a movement of the ailercon stick is moving only with aileron bar, right?

What is likely wrong is the servo connection (probably they are not in the correct ports).
It is easy to swap the cables as they are all same. But if you have used default settings, you should not damage any servo.
The unit itself does not require any servo to be connected. So you can for example start it just with one servo.
For example you can connect the elevator servo (to the CH2 port) and then start the unit and verify that it is really moving.
Then turn it off and continue with rudder (CH4 port). Again turn it on and verify. Then aileron/pitch servos and you are done.
If you are unsure, you can take a photo and attach it here. Then I can confirm the wiring before you will start it.

When you are binding, the software will tell you what exactly to do. First the software will connect to the unit, it will set correct Receiver type, then you will be asked for disconnecting it and binding (but software can be still running). Then it will be waiting until you will bind it and later you will just click Connect button again and that's it.
It could be confusing for beginner, but when you will do it more times, it will be very easy.
Also you do not have to bind each time, only if you need.

Thank you all for the help. Just to be sure i have this correct:

1) Open the wizard
2)Connect the rx and the USB
3)pick the mounting position, swash and helicopter (I use the Algin 450 as there is no 250)
4)set pulse and frequency and connect servos
5)Plug n the battery
6)Run the diagnostic check (My DXp says the setting are 100/100, but the sliders are more/less then that. Not sure how to get to +100/-100)
7)Reverse as needed

When I connect each servo am I suppose to disconnect the battery or the USB first, then plug it back in ?

When I bind do I unplug the USB then plug it back in?

Sorry if these are silly questions, but I am an old guy, with limited computer ability. Things are not as clear to me as they are yu you all. :)

you only have to Bind once if your seeing response in Diagnostics Screen then your are Bound.
On DX9 Click the roller scroll to Servo and select Travel on that screen you can adjust the radio to get +/- 100 of each control on Diagnostics screen.
