Hi!
I have a 450L which i cant dial the tail to perfect.
Tail servo is Align DS535, Specs:
Stall torque: 5.0kg.cm(6.0V)
6.5kg.cm(8.4V)
●Motion speed: 0.05sec/60°(6.0V)
0.03sec/60°(8.4V)
●Rating voltage: DC 6.0-8.4V
Now runnig at 7.4V
Tail setup: Servo is centered 90degrees. Tail is setup, symmetrically, so i get left and right limit 121 -126
Gyro gain at 40%, Piro cons 150, dynamic 6, servo delay 0, revomix 0.
Problem: Left rudder fast oscilaltion at stops, right rudder- overshoot like 6-8cm and bounce back.
If i increase gyro gain overshoot is less, but left rudder oscillation is more.
Thinking: if left rudder stops oscillates, means it allplying to much pitch, right rudder overshoots- stopping pitch is not enough. So i added more positive pitch by turning in 1-2 turns on ball link, readjusted limits.
Now the limit is 108-140. Now: leftrudder stops like it should, fast no oscillation, but still bounce on right rudder, but it is better.
Shoud i add more positive pitch by turning ball link in more? I the limits will be very unsimmetrical, So i think I am doing something wrong. Oh, the throttle is 85% with YEP in gov store mode. interesting thing: if i lower the trottle the bounce back goes away.
The servo ball link is now at around 8mm from servo center, alig manual says it shoud be 1cm. Does it matter?
Thanks for help.
EDIT: During flight the vibration max that i get on telemetry is 12%, during hover it is like 1-2% on JETI telemetry.
Firmware is 2.1
On my protos max i got tail positive pitch around 3 degrees, limits are 130-132, and the tail is perfect literally. So i dont know how can it be so bad with trex 450 with similar settings.
