O.K. I measured pitch with rescue ON and OFF. It wasn't as different as I thought it may be. With rescue OFF, positive pitch is 11 degrees. With rescue ON, positive pitch is 11.5 degrees. So I'm back to being confused. What should I try next?

Let's see if I also understand the problem.

You are hovering, you suddenly apply full positive pitch, the heli climbs at a certain speed.

You are hovering, you hit Rescue, the heli climbs much faster?

Rescue percentage is relative to +/-100% Pitch on the Diagnostic tab. If you have a pitch curve set on the transmitter so that you do not get a full +/-100% on the Diagnostic tab, then you could get a greater rescue pitch than your full collective stick pitch.

You are correct. Hovering, full positive pitch, a one second or so delay and then full pitch. Then, hovering, hit rescue, and immediate, fast full pitch. I checked my diagnostics and I am set to 100% positive and 100% negative when I move the stick all the way in each direction. So far, I'm not finding anything that is obvious. I know it's possible that I have a setting wrong somewhere, I'm just not finding where that is.

I'll keep looking. Maybe I simply need to go back to factory defaults and start from scratch???

If you look at diagnostis tab in fbl doing pitch pump, does the bar move fast or slow? If slow, you should look at your TX, reset with new profile. If diagnostics fast, but servos still slow, reset FBL to factory, maybe also re-flash it with lates FW again and redo setup following the wizzard step-by-step, its done in 15Minutes.

I may not be able to try this until the weekend but I will try. I see what you what me to find out. It is an old, cheap TX so who knows. It's a DX6 that came with a P.O.S. Blade 450 heli. We shall see and I'll let you know as soon as I find out. Thanks very much for all your help so far. Kirk.
