I need the parameters explaining on the governor settings
My Trex 700n os91 flys well with the 2.1 gov installed but there is one thing I can't seem to tweek
It's the over reving when selecting id1 or 2

Ime flying round in normal select id1 wich has the same head speed as normal and the engine goes to full revs before dropping back down to my selected 1750 head speed
I've tweeked all of the gov parameters to try to stop this happening but no joy

I don't understand the throttle range 1100 min 1900 max when I've got my servo set to 100/100 on travel adj

Does the spool up rate only apply to electric

What does spoolup ramp up mean to a nitro

Hello,

basically you on combustion helicopters you can see a changes in parameters on the ground.
Setting up throttle servo travel shouldn't be done in your transmitter.
It should be always configured with the Throttle Range parameters in the software.

Meaning of the parameters is explained in the manual in the Governor section. Also when you hover mouse cursor over parameters, you will see bubble info with description directly in the software.

I recommend to set up governor in this way:
1. set the travel of your throttle channel (in your transmitter) so that you will see 0 to 100% in the Diagnostic tab in the software.
0% will be throttle cut (motor fully off)
100% motor fully open
Throttle Servo movement is not important at all there.

2. Modify Throttle Range in the software (Governor window) so that values Min. and Max. correspond to fully closed and fully opened positions.

3. Set Requested RPM with TC - you will see Requested RPM in the Governor window when Throttle Hold is not active.

4. Set TC for idle (e.g. 10%) - depending on the motor

5. Spoolup Rampup can be set to 10us - what it does is that spoolup procedure will jump by 10us and then it will continue with smooth spoolup. If you will increase the value, then you will see a bigger jump. For combustion helicopters it is better at the lowest value.
Smooth spoolup is fully supported with all motors.

Absolutely spot on on my Trex OS91hz Very pleased

Pulses on and off in normal almost shuting throttle with the same settings on my Trex OS91hzr But ok in idle up 1& 2

Both Trex 700n have the same servos same optifuel slv20% both have spirit pro updated with 2.01
Only differance is one is regulated and one isn't can't think why the regulated one is pulsing in normal almost shuting the throttle with the same settings

Came home and installed align gov with ar800rx on the HZR hovered the heli with no issues on and off governor so it's not the engine ???????
