I'm looking to install the AR7700 on my 600 size nitro helicopter, using a DX9. I have seen on other post that the Spirit team has tested the AR7700.
My question are; 1. Using SRXL, are the gear, aux1 and aux 2 channels still active, mirroring the digital input the spirit receives from the AR7700, or do they only work in PPM mode? 2. When using the gear, aux1 and aux2 outputs, is it true that they are locked to channels 5, 6, an 7? 3. What is the PPM output on the AR7700? Is it the signal wires from aileron, elevator and pitch, and I could use it that way going into EPA on the Spirit? or is it a digital output like SRXL?
Thanks for any help
Larry

I can only answer q3 as I haven't experimented with the onboard channels of my AR7700. PPM Output is an analogue version of the SRXL port. As its analogue it has more latency and lower precision and is more susceptible to interference. I would use the SRXL output for connecting it to the Spirit unit. It works great and it's super reliable.

+1, ive got one on my g500 sport that works great. I just installed another on a friends 550e w a red spirit and its working great as well. On the 550e w hw 100a v3 ive got the throttle going to the spirit w the slave bec cable going to the ar7700 for extra security making sure the electronics get all the power they need.

Have you tried the gear, aux 1, or aux 2 ports?
